ELECTRIC guitar 1937 on EDDIE DURHAM & HIS BASE FOUR (renamed: "The KANSAS CITY 5 SESSIONS") produced by the Legendary Jon Hammond (prior to adding Lester Young)


Single-Line Solos (with The Bennie Moten Orchestra)


Invented a technique on his TROMBONE of Non-Pressure (never had sores on his lips)


Cousin of Herschal Evans, Father of 5 children; he raised 3 as a single parent several years
